Seroma Set™ System - The optimal solution for the aspiration of Seroma
Seroma formation is the most frequent post-operative complication following breast cancer surgery. The Seroma Set™ Handpiece has been developed to attach to a negative pressure suction bottle, creating a novel sterile single use closed system to simplify the draining of Seroma fluid after breast surgery.
Use of the Seroma Set™ System reduces the risk of bacterial contamination since there is no contact with aspirated fluid by either nurse or patient during the procedure. The aspiration needle is not 'left open' during the procedure, which again minimises the risk of infection inside the breast or at the puncture site.
Kinder to the patient and the user, avoiding the use of uncomfortable drains, the system can be operated by one person with just one hand, and requires no force to be applied by the operator.
Advantages:
- Simple to use, with an ergonomic handpiece for easy control with one hand.
- Easier and faster aspiration.
- Avoid additional aspiration and accelerate matrix adherence.
- Closed system reduces the risk of bacterial contamination.
- Better emptying due to negative pressure suction.
- Patient friendly standard of care.
- Fits all needle sizes (needles not included).
