The Proctowash is specifically designed to enable intra-operative elimination of exfoliated tumor cells from the rectum and distal colon.  Studies show comprehensive irrigation of the area removes these cells and the Proctowash is a quick, sealed, easy-to-use kit for this purpose.

The product is also very useful as an intra-operative prep of the rectum and distal colon and is ideal for use as part of a protocol to reduce the use of pre-op bowel prep.

The device comprises:

• Probe with flexible tip for automatic insertion without obturator; sealed inlet port for irrigation and sealed outlet port for waste/drainage.
• 2.5m fluid administration set with atraumatic tip.
• Large bore waste tubing.
• Detachable, resealable 3 litre container.
• Sealing cap.
